Using a TLD Suffix in a Domain Name

If the “.com” is unavailable for a new domain name, does something like “.agency”  or other similar example work ok in a TLD?

From an SEO standpoint using the (in this example) .agency extension does not hurt you at all as a part of your TLD suffix domain… Utilizing pertinent SEO applications will also apply to any such SERP resultants.

We’ve done it for some of our clients with similar branded TLD extensions, without difficulties.

However, training the visiting traffic to recognize such TLD branding is another topic altogether.
